If you need to notify a teammate, use @ mention to get their attention.
How to @mention someone in a message
1. Enter the @ symbol when typing a message.
2. Enter a member's name, or select one from the list of members. You can repeat this for every person you want to mention in your message.
Note: To notify a larger audience, use @here when you need the attention of people in the group who are online, and use @all (or @channel) to notify everyone in the group channel including those that are not online or away.

3. Type in your message then hit Enter to send your message
4. The mentioned names will be highlighted in blue in the conversation
How people are notified
@ mention will trigger a desktop or mobile push notification, email notification and a badge notification to all members mentioned in the message.
Note: If you mention someone who is not in the group, the member won't be notified and can't see your message until you invite them to join the channel.
Select Invite them to add the person to the group.
