Experiencing issues with Velocity? Here's an easy troubleshooting guide and FAQs for Velocity.

Experiencing any of these issues?

1. "The circle spins and nothing happens."

2. "Velocity stopped working all of a sudden, what do I do?"

3. "Velocity is not saving the information correctly, some of the data is missing."

4. "Velocity is creating fake emails."

5. "I have updated the email field for my record but Vincere is not pulling through the email."

Read on to find out how you can troubleshoot these common issues.

❓ "The circle spins and nothing happens."

Try these troubleshooting steps:

  1. Close the tab and try reconnecting Velocity again.

  2. If the circle still keeps spinning, close the window. 

  3. Refresh your browser.

  4. Go to any LinkedIn Profile and test to see if Velocity works.

5. Check that you are using the right Vincere account. (Not any data migration review or test sites)

If you have tried troubleshooting and you're still seeing the circle spin, please reach out to us immediately.

❓ "Velocity stopped working all of a sudden, what do I do?"

Try these troubleshooting steps:

  1. Uninstall and reinstall velocity

  2. Connect to Vincere

  3. Go to a LinkedIn profile and check if the issue persists.

If the issue persists, reach out to us with the following details:

  1. Your name

  2. Your company

  3. The specific issue you are experiencing

  4. Provide Screenshots /error messages wherever possible.

❓ "Velocity is not saving the information correctly, some of the data is missing."

Location Information

Velocity is able to pull the location info into Vincere when the record is created. It will update the Personal location field of the record.


❓ "Velocity is creating fake emails."

Velocity is able to pull the emails into Vincere when the record is created. However, this largely depends on the privacy settings of the LinkedIn user i.e. whatever the user has decided to make available publicly.

If the LinkedIn user has got their privacy settings on, Velocity will automatically generate a fake email and that will be added into Vincere.

Please note that the privacy setting supersedes the degree of connection you have with that profile. This means that even if you are connected at a 1st degree level, and the user has enabled email privacy settings, Velocity will not be able to pull the email and generates a fake email instead.

❓ "I have updated the email field for my record but Vincere is not pulling through the updated email."

If you select the ‘Create new candidate and contact’ option, and you have manually updated the email in the email field, Velocity will only update the email in the Candidate record and not the (linked) Contact record.

Please switch between the Contact & Candidate tabs to update the email field before you click on create or update.
