Filter and locate candidate records using Advanced Search in Vincere

Steps to use Advanced Search filters, Boolean parameters, and sorting options to find and manage candidate records in Vincere.

Written by Jason Tu

Advanced Search in Vincere lets you apply filters and Boolean parameters to quickly locate candidate records based on specific criteria. You can use it to identify missing information, find records with particular attributes, and sort results to suit your workflow.

Find candidates with missing fields

To use the is null parameter helps you identify records where a specific field has no value.

  1. Open Advanced Search and select Candidates.

  2. Add a search filter for the field you want to check.

  3. Type : is null after the parameter name to return records where that field is empty.

🤓Tip: Use the following parameters to find candidates missing key contact details or tags:
• primary_mobile: is null — candidates with no primary mobile number.
• primary_email: is null — candidates with no primary email address.
• Parameters for missing skill tags, such as Industry or Functional Expertise.

Always verify your parameters for accuracy before exporting results.

Format filters correctly for accurate results

When using filters that involve numeric values such as salary ranges, incorrect formatting can cause searches to return no results.

  • Do not include currency symbols or commas in numeric fields.

  • Enter plain numbers only for example, enter 55 rather than GBPÂŁ55.

Find candidates with phone numbers

To locate records that include a phone or mobile number:

  1. Add the Mobile column to your results page.

  2. Click the column header to sort records by that field.

Find candidates by email domain

You can search for candidates associated with a specific email domain using either Quick Search or Table View filters.

Using Quick Search

Enter the email domain (for example, @example.com) in the search bar.

Using Table View filters

  1. Go to the Candidates section and switch to Table View.

  2. Click the Columns tab and add the Email and/or Work Email columns.

  3. Apply a filter on the relevant column for the domain you want to search.

📌Note: Clear any existing filter before applying a new one to avoid conflicts between filters.

Troubleshooting

  • Double-check search parameters for typos or incorrect formatting.

  • Use placeholders or general terms to broaden your search if results are unexpectedly empty.

  • Regularly review and update your search filters to reflect your current data management needs.
