Select Data Carefully
Choose the details you want to keep or discard thoughtfully. Decide which record to set as the "master" candidate, from which all primary data will be retained. You can choose which fields to keep from each record or even edit data during the merge.
Availability Data Will Not Transfer
Candidate availability information won’t merge across records. Choose the candidate with the desired availability to set as the master.

⭕ How to Merge Candidates in Vincere?
Step-by-Step Instructions
Select Candidates: Begin by selecting the candidates you want to merge.
Choose 'Merge Candidate': From the actions list, select the option ‘Merge Candidate’. You can choose both candidates now or select one candidate first and search for the second.
Choose Data to Retain: Decide which candidate will be the master. Carefully select the data fields you want to keep, edit as necessary, and decide if you’d like to append files, applications, or invoices to the merged candidate.
📝 Note: Merging is final and cannot be undone.
⭕ Troubleshooting and Additional Tips
1. Why Won’t My Candidates Merge?
Some scenarios prevent merging:
If one candidate record is linked to Vincere Pay & Bill or TimeTemp, it will be designated as the master.
Availability data will only transfer from the master record.
2. Where Does the Unwanted Candidate Go?
After merging, the non-master candidate will be archived automatically.
3. Why is the Merged Candidate Still Searchable?
Archived candidates remain searchable until permanently deleted.
👉 To remove them completely:
Go to the Archived Candidate Table in settings and delete the record.
Alternatively, you can filter out archived candidates using Advanced Search.
⭕ Merge Tracking
All merge activities are logged in Merge Tracking, allowing you to view the status and details of all merge actions.
Access this feature by navigating to Show More Menu > Merge Tracking.
