The Quick Search bar in Vincere is a powerful tool that helps you quickly find candidates, contacts, companies, or jobs from anywhere in the system. It supports both free text and field-based searches for fast, accurate results.
Quick Search is ideal for running simple searches without needing detailed criteria or Boolean logic.
Run a Free Text Search
Free Text Search allows you to find results by entering keywords directly into the Quick Search bar.
- Type your search keyword into the Quick Search bar.
- Press Enter to display the results.
The results are automatically grouped into the following categories:
- Candidate results.
- Contact results.
- Company results.
- Job results.
Run a Field Search
Field Search allows you to search using a specific field name.
- Start typing the name of the field in the Quick Search bar.
- Select the relevant field from the drop-down list.
The fields are organized under the following categories:
- Candidate results.
- Contact results.
- Company results.
- Job results.
Quick Search for Jobs
Quick Search in the Job category looks through multiple fields to find matches, including:
| Job Field | Description |
| Position Name | Job title of the position |
| ID | Numeric Job ID |
| Industry (Vertical ID) | Numeric industry ID |
| Company ID | Numeric company identifier |
| Summary | Job brief |
| Full Description | Internal Job Description |
| Public Description | Public-facing Job Description |
| Keywords | Job keywords |
| Reason for Difficulty | Challenge reason field |
| Notes | Job brief notes |
| Custom Text Fields | Any configured custom text fields |
📌 Example:
If you enter “Selig” in Quick Search, it will search across all the fields above.
A job titled “Technical Services Manager” may still appear if “Selig” exists in its Internal Job Description.
⚠️ Important: Quick Search does not search the Job Brief of Job Leads. To do this, use Advanced Search.
Search by Company ID
To find open jobs for a specific company:
- Type the Company ID (e.g., “28508” for Selig Group) in the Quick Search bar.
- View all open jobs related to that company in the results.
📌 Note: Quick Search only displays open jobs in the results.

Important Notes About Quick Search
📌 Note: Quick Search only searches text fields within each entity.
Entity-Specific Searches:
- Candidate names containing the keyword will appear under Candidate.
- Contact names containing the keyword will appear under Contact.
- Job titles containing the keyword will appear under Job.
- Company names containing the keyword will appear under Company.
Cross-Search Limitation:
Quick Search does not cross-search entities.
For example, it cannot display all jobs belonging to a company found by keyword — use Table Search for that.
💡 Best Practices
- Use Quick Search for fast, single-field lookups.
- For complex or multi-field searches, click the green button to open the current search in Advanced Search.
