This article explains each part of the Goals Dashboard, how it calculates performance, and how to manage targets so the data stays accurate.

Overview

The Goals Dashboard measures users’ activities against targets set in the Goal Console. It helps you:

  • Monitor team performance against activity and revenue goals.

  • Identify where consultants are on track and where they need support.

  • Run structured, data-led 1:1s using the Benchmarks – Success Quadrant.

You can access the Goals Dashboard from the Vincere application by clicking:

  1. Intelligence on the left-side menu.

  2. Then click on Goals Dashboard.

The dashboard only reports on activities that have an associated target in the Goal Console (including targets of 0).

This dashboard is great for:

  • Directors, managers, team leaders, and everyone in the business who wants to drill down into performance across the organization and take away data-driven insights.

  • Tracking performance: check how the consultant’s efforts are paying off and where they can improve.

  • Making coaching efficient and personalized, using the Benchmarks – Success Quadrant dashboard for personalized performance reviews and one-on-one checkpoints.

What the Goals Dashboard Shows

Goal Achievement Metrics

The dashboard focuses on how much of the set targets have been achieved in a selected time period:

  • % Goals Achieved: Percentage of goals achieved against all targets in a specific period.

  • Source of data: Based on actual user actions in the system.

  • Visibility rules: Activities with no target set in the Goal Console do not appear on the Goals Dashboard.

  • Variance: The difference between the target and the actual performance.

  • Consultant status mapping: Consultants are categorised in the Benchmarks – Success Quadrant based on both goal and revenue performance.

Dashboard Components

The Goals Dashboard has two main components:

  • Goals tab: Shows each consultant’s activity performance: Actual vs Target for every goal.

  • Benchmarks – Success Quadrant tab: Visualises goal achievement vs revenue achievement and groups consultants into performance categories.

Goals Tab

Header Metrics

The header shows high-level goal achievement across time:

  • Goal Achievement: % of goals achieved for the current month, compared with last month (month-to-date).

  • Last Month: % of goals achieved in the previous month.

  • Previous Month: % of goals achieved two months ago.

  • 3 Months Ago:% of goals achieved three months ago.

  • 1 Year Ago: % of goals achieved in the equivalent month last year
(for example, if the current month is March 2023, this shows the % achieved in February 2022).

📌 Note: The Date filter on the right-hand panel does not affect these header numbers.

Table View (Goals Tab)

The Goals table gives an overview of each consultant’s performance against each goal defined in the Goal Console.

By default, the table includes all actual actions performed by the Action User.

Each goal appears as a column group with three nested columns:

  • T (Target) – Target value set in the Goal Console.

  • A (Actual) – Sum of activities completed.

  • V (Variance) – Difference between target (T) and actual (A).

Colour coding for Variance (V):

  • Green value → Target has been met or exceeded.

  • Red value → Target has not yet been met.

Filters (Goals Tab & Global Filters)

Use the Filters panel on the right-hand side to refine what you see on the dashboard.

Available filters:

  • Date Type: Allows users to report revenue based on the start date instead of the booked date, providing more flexibility in how you view and analyze your goals and performance metrics.

  • Date: filter by specific time period by months, weeks, and even days.

  • Locations: filter by each office location or multiple locations.

  • Brand: Filter by consultant's brand or multiple brands.

  • Branch: Filter by consultant's branch or multiple branches.

  • Division: filter by consultant's division or multiple divisions.

  • Team: filter by consultant's team or multiple teams.

  • Consultant: filter by individual consultant or multiple consultants, including active & inactive consultants.

  • Consultant Status: filter by Active / Inactive users / both. By default, Inactive Users are included.

  • Job Category: filter by activities linked to Jobs / linked to Job Leads / No Job link.

  • Created date (Record): filter by goals linked to records created during a specific time period: today, this week, last week, etc.

  • Goal Library: filter by all active Goals or only specific ones.

  • Activities By: filter by Action User (the user who performed the action), Shortlisted User (the user who shortlisted the Candidate, starting the application process), Candidate Owner.

  • Placement Types: filter by different placement types: Placements (permanent, temp, contract) / Retainers / Renewals / All.

📌 Note: To hide a specific goal from the Goals Dashboard, untick it in the Goal Library filter.

Benchmarks – Success Quadrant Tab

The Benchmarks – Success Quadrant tab compares each consultant’s goal achievement with their revenue achievement, making it easier to see who is overperforming, underperforming, or out of balance.

Header Metrics

The header on this tab shows the % of targets achieved for the selected period, in the same format as the Goals tab header.

Bubble Chart

Each consultant is shown as a bubble on the chart:

  • The position of the bubble relative to the grid lines shows how the consultant is performing against goal and revenue targets.

  • The colour of the bubble indicates performance against the revenue target:

    • 🔴 Red – Less than 75% of revenue target.

    • 🟡 Yellow75% to 100% of revenue target.

    • 🟢 Green – More than 100% of revenue target.

Chart Axes

  • Y-axis = % Revenue Target
How much of the revenue/fees target has been achieved.

  • X-axis = % Goal Target
How much of the activity target (excluding revenue) has been achieved.

    • If a user has not completed any activity, the goal target % is 0%.

    • % Goal Target is calculated as the average KPI % achieved across the consultant’s goals.

Key Metrics (Quadrant Definitions)

Consultants are grouped into four performance types:

Top Performer(s)

  • Achieved 75% or more of both revenue and goal targets.

  • Appear in the top-right quadrant.

  • Consultant: Users with at least one goal target set (excluding revenue-only targets).

  • Revenue Target: Revenue target set in the Goal Console using:

    • KPI #44 – NFI / Fees / Margin | All
