Nylas V3 provides a more reliable and efficient way to synchronize emails and calendar events in Vincere. This guide explains what is changing, how to reconnect your account, and how to resolve integration issues during the transition.

  • With Nylas, Vincere connects to common email providers such as Gmail, Outlook, and IMAP to manage email, scheduling, and contacts efficiently.

⚠️ Important: You must reconnect your email to begin using Nylas V3 once it is enabled on your Vincere site.

About Nylas and the Upgrade

Nylas powers Vincere’s email and calendar synchronization. The upgrade to Nylas API V3 delivers improved stability, fewer syncing errors, and better compatibility across email systems. Users with high folder counts may also experience better performance. Real-time error visibility helps technical teams troubleshoot issues faster.

📌 Note: Users still on Nylas V2 may experience intermittent email-sending issues until they reconnect and complete the upgrade.

What Is Changing

The upgrade introduces a streamlined email syncing experience and enhanced integration with Microsoft products. Updated status indicators now include:

  • Email Syncing: Nylas fetches emails from your connected email during sync requests.

    • The “Synchronizing” status for email accounts will be replaced with a streamlined syncing experience.

  • Microsoft Integration: Better compatibility with Microsoft products.

  • New Status Indicators: Email account statuses updated to include:

    • "Not Connected".

    • "Connected".

    • "Disconnected".

    • New status categories like “Nylas V3 – Gmail” and “Nylas V3 – Microsoft”.

If you see a reconnection prompt, it applies only to users with an existing email connection on sites where V3 is enabled and whose account remains on V2 with a “Connecting” status.

Steps to Address Email Synchronization and

Integration Issues

Resolving Synchronization Issues

  1. Contact Your IT Administrator: Permissions to sync your email account must be set by your IT admin. Reach out to the appropriate person in your IT department who handles email permissions.

  2. Check the Admin Center: Depending on your email provider, access to an admin center (such as the Microsoft admin center) may be required. Your IT admin can grant the correct permissions through this platform.

  3. For Microsoft 365 users navigating admin consent requirements, ensure the Global Administrator logs in to the Microsoft Entra Admin Center, grants admin consent in the Enterprise Applications tab for the VincereMailV3 app, and verifies correct permissions under Permissions and consent section.

Resolving Integration Issues When Linking Accounts

  1. Identify Your Organization's Email Admin: Contact the internal email administrator or super user responsible for managing account permissions. This could be someone from the IT department or a senior team member.

  2. Collaborate with External Email Support: In some cases, additional authorization settings must be configured by your email provider. If internal admin support is unavailable, reach out to the email provider or external email support team for setup assistance.

  3. For Microsoft 365 accounts, specifically address the VincereMailV3 app's permissions by having a Global Administrator follow steps in the Microsoft Entra Admin Center. Verify the VincereMailV3 app is properly configured under Enterprise Applications.

  • If the first option is chosen, then the Global Admin needs to grant consent. Please reach out to your internal IT team to grant this permission.

  • Otherwise (option 2 or 3 is chosen), you (the user) can provide the consent.
