How to create a formatted resume template

A well-crafted, fully branded resume will instantly catch your client’s attention, showcasing the best candidates for the job.

⭕ Where is the Formatted Resume Template located?

  1. Go to Settings and click on Document Builder.

  2. Choose a Starting Point:

    • You can either create your template from scratch or start with a pre-made template by clicking on Original Template.

    • Vincere also provides wildcards that automatically input candidate information for you every time a document is created.

🤔 What Are Wildcards?

Wildcards are similar to mail-merge fields, pulling information from the system and inserting it into your document automatically.

  • For example, a wildcard can retrieve a candidate’s education history, phone number, or any custom field, like reference numbers.

You can use pre-set wildcards in your documents or create custom wildcards from custom fields within the system. For details on creating custom field wildcards click 👉 HERE 👈

⭕ How to Create Your First Formatted Resume Template

  1. Go to Settings > Document Builder.

  2. Choose your brand and set the Doc Type to Formatted Resumes.

  3. Click the plus (+) icon to create a new template.

  4. Name your template and hit Save.

You can create as many templates as needed, each with its own unique branding, formats, and wildcards.

⭕ Adding Design Elements

Now that your template is set, you can start designing by:

  • Adding logos, branding, and formatting.

  • Inserting your handy wildcards to auto-populate candidate details (e.g., candidate name, job title, etc.).

Like the image example below, aside from Your Brand, you can select, Digital Marketing

  • Hit Preview anytime to see how your formatted resume will look.

  • Once you’ve finalized the design following your company brand, your formatted resume might look something like this:

⭕ How to stop a formatted CV from being added for candidates who apply for roles?

To stop a formatted CV being added for candidates that apply for roles please follow the steps below:

  1. Go Settings > click on Admin Settings

  2. In the General Settings Tab > click on #5. Default settings for formatted CV

  3. Toggle off any function that you wish the CV formatted not to generate for.

  4. Once done, click on Save.

By using Vincere’s Document Builder, you’ll save valuable time and ensure your consultants are creating polished, branded resumes, allowing them to focus on making more placements.

⭕ How to delete a formatted resume template?

To delete a formatted resume template, please follow the steps below ⬇️

  1. Navigate to Settings > Document Builder

  2. Select the Brand associated with the template you're trying to delete

  3. Choose the Template you wish to delete (Click on the tiny triangle button next to the template to see the red bin icon)

  4. Click on it then click on Yes.

📝 Note: Please note that once you delete it, it can't be retrieved.

🤔 FAQs

Can I re-generate Bulk format CVs?

  • There is no bulk action to re-generate Bulk format CVs at the moment. The formatted resume option is not available in bulk actions for candidates so you need to select the candidate and click format resume individually.
